Terms to know when ordering:

♡ Vegan: Containing no animal products. Everything Capital City Bakery makes is 100% vegan.

♡ Gluten-Free: A food item that excludes the protein gluten. Capital City Bakery is not a gluten-free bakery, although we do offer select items that are free of gluten. Our facility does process gluten, which is important to consider if you have an allergy.

♡ Pearl Border for Layer Cakes:

♡ Star Tip Border for Layer Cakes:

♡ Rosette Border for Layer Cakes: typically along the top border only; paired with sprinkles on the bottom border instead of piping.

♡ Ombre: the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. This effect can by applied to buttercream for a beautiful finished look.

♡ Non-Pareil: tiny ball shaped sprinkles

♡ Jimmies: long rod-shaped sprinkles

♡ Layer Cake: a cake of two or more layers with icing or another filling between them; Example: a traditional birthday cake is a layer cake.

♡ Tiered Cake: a cake consisting of multiple layer cakes of different sizes stacked on top of each other; Example: a traditional wedding cake is a tiered cake.
